[D] [G]
When we got [Bb] to the airport, it was obvious [G] that the whole two weeks was going to be totally
chaotic because nobody knew what to do with this and we were just like wondering about.
In fact, one of the most chaotic scenes I've ever seen in my life.
[Cm] I really don't think
they had any [Gm] idea at all of [Am] what to [D] expect as far as the Western pop band.
No more than we did.
[G] I think a lot of people, the younger [Gm] people, are very excited about
it and [A] obviously there are those that are older that think it's the beginning of [D] the end.
I think they're very, very reserved about [G] letting another band into their team.
I'm
not sure [A] they know how to [Gm] handle this sort of thing [C] yet.
I did feel, although we were very [A] privileged to actually [G] have been put in the position
we were, [Cm] acting as ambassadors of a sort, I did feel totally out of place.
We are musicians,
[D] we're not politicians.
But I don't think anybody had any idea what to expect from a Chinese
audience [Gm] watching Wham!,
[D] you know.
We were not only [G] representing pop music but we were also representing the [Gb] youth of the Western [Eb] world.
I think it [G] was just as much a press exercise for [Cm] the Chinese as it was for us.
They may well have [D] left some other bands in but they're going to have to think about how
to Hello?
