Chords for Tate McRae - Making the "greedy" Music Video

Thank you so much for watching my video coming to [Bb] live right now from tour
I'm so proud of this video and I'm so happy to [B] all people that were in it and helped me create it
I [Ab] feel like my creative vision really came to life
There's so [Bb] much that goes into the process even before the actual shoot day
So I wanted to talk about all people I worked with because they are so incredible and answer some questions
[Gb] So I [A] was lucky enough to work with [Bb] Sean Bankhead on this choreo for this music video
[Gb] He is such an inspiration to me.
All the dancers in this video are nuts.
These are
[Bb] Some of my favorite dancers to watch so you guys are getting blessed with their presence on [A] screen
And yeah, Sean Bankhead has done some my favorite [Bb] music videos of all time [Gb] and he crushed it
We had one day of rehearsal before and we all learned this in like six [A] hours
So I think it came together pretty good in one day
So I had the privilege of [Bb] working with the most badass [A] female director, her name is Erin
She came over to my [G] house to edit the final footage of the video and [Ab] she is so good
So sweet.
I love her to death together [A] me and Bradley my creative director came up with this
[Gb] Idea of being on a Zamboni being in a hockey rink
I was just like we [Ab] need to make this like epic dance scene in the locker room
I need to [A] drive the Zamboni to like do the whole thing and then Erin was like, okay, like let's do it
Let's make it come to life and
She was so badass and so awesome to work with so [Bb] is everyone on set
So we did shoot this music video on [Ab] film.
I am so happy that we did this
I personally just love a look of like a lo [G]-fi camera and film cameras
I think it just makes music videos [Ab] very timeless and
Beautiful and then also the whole thing is you have to like wait to get the actual film back and then it comes back in one whole
Take so when we got it back
We had an [A] hour and a half of footage that Erin had to go [Gb] through
Shooting on film is scary because day of you don't really know what it looks like
[A] And you kind of just [Bb] have to like pray and cross your fingers that it turns out good
[A] The environment on set was so chill.
It was such a fun day.
I had my best friend Finley there
He was just in our trailer the whole time Lily Chad makeup and hair
They're the best people ever [Bb] all my managers
We had honestly just like such a fun day when things go as planned
What you actually wanted to look like and it feels [Bb] like your visions like to make a life the day runs very smoothly Um, yeah
We have some crazy things that happened on set the first shot of the day was the one in front of the skate shop
And I had these like shimmery gold [N] shoes on no one knew I was gonna do like a split on the skate
Shop, so we had to like take duct tape and like tape it and then we ended up being like this actually looks so sick
So [A] he just like kept it as [Gb] like a stylistic [Bb] choice
And then also we had to get on set at like 6 a.m. And it was so funny because Chad who's literally [Ab] so good at hair like incredibly. He's amazing [Bb] He forgets his blow-dryer. So he's literally doing my hair with a leaf [Gbm] blower But then he like got [Ab] it all good, but it was it was really funny there are a [Bb] few Easter eggs That you may have to look for _ in the video So keep [Ab] your eyes open Because lots of exciting things are coming up and I'm very excited to share new music. _ [Gb] _ Oh _ I [Bb] am a big fan of the Zamboni scene when it's just like the portrait because I was literally doing like circles are on the On the Zamboni like in slow-mo and like [Gb] lip-syncing to the camera, which I think is so cool but then also the locker room was [A] one that I had like really envisioned in my head and I was [Ab] like We have to nail this one We have to make sure it like comes out perfect [A] because I had like the lighting in my head [Bb] The way that the dancers moved the way that the locker room looked and I was decorated. It was all very Planned out. I was one of the first people that they [F] let drive the Zamboni [Gbm] that wasn't actually the [Bb] Zamboni driver Which is so funny because I'm an awful driver _ [Gb] My whole team was freaking out _ Yeah, it was it was funny. They gave me like a five minute lesson It's just like driving a big [Bb] boat what surprised me the most [A] about the reaction of greedy I think is I mean, it's obviously release night, [Gb] so I don't know much but I think _ [Gb] Everyone feels like it's like a totally different sound [A] for me I mean, I feel like I'm challenging myself and pushing myself, which is cool. It's like a totally different lane And then also I think it's just cool that people get [Ab] to see me dance for the [B] first time for real So that's very special to me Tour is going amazing so far. You guys are the actual best _ Yeah, it's like such a fun sold-out packed super loud tour and I'm just very happy to be back with you guys again Long time overdue.
